It is actually a very similar setup minus the cams of and porting, which will actually hurts spool but increase top end.

35R, V-band, meth, and same tuner

I assume meth really helps that much. Damn, I was always against doing it on my setup but if it has such great results I may just go for it.

yes and no....you guys know how meth works and how you can make power with it right??

the 93 tune is at 21 psi to be safe and conservative only using pump gas, using 100 perc meth (and a lot of it- twin nozzles) It was possible to advance the timing somewhat and increase boost to 28 psi which is what netted 100 hp

just adding meth without tuning for it will actually decrease power most likely, and we could have easily run the 93 tune at 23 psi and the meth tune at 26psi and only had 40 hp difference so don't everybody think meth is the answer to everything, PLUS it is a highly modified car with a large turbo so the increased boost/timing will have a larger effect as opposed to the same changes with say a stock turbo

So essentially you think if you ran this car on pump gas around 23-24psi, you would have made what power? The meth tune increased so much because your pump gas tune was soo conservative?

What motor are you running?

sure is sometime soon, I already P-boxed it which is very accurate and it trapped 130.xx just sliding it into 1st, so with the LC setup it should pick up another couple mph- best 1/4 was 11.2 but again I had a 2.2 60ft on that run lol without launching it

I'm saying the 93 tune might have been able to be pushed a little farther and we easily could have done the meth tune to 25 or 26 psi but with the fully built longblock and amount of meth it would have been silly to stop there

also that the effects are increased when put on with a large 35r turbo and such great flowing heads etc etc

I had meth on stg2 and it inc 9whp, and w/ a dom3 and netted around 50 whp fwiw

Great comparison of two boost settings and two outcomes! Very informative and GREAT results. Tnx!
Is there maybe a boost versus rpm graph somewhere? That would be great.

How much lbs/min does the HTA 3582R compressor wheel flow? (could not find that info on FP's website..)

TIA,
Walter

no boost/rpm graph, well sort of, logging boost and engine speed in 4th gear showed I floored it at 3600 rpm and got 27 psi at 41xx rpm so full boost comes on anywhere between 5-700 rpms before peak tq

no idea on the turbo, either equal to or only a couple lb/min more than a standard 35r is my guess
