I have excuses too...lol. Just had my second child a week ago, and everything involved with that is keeping me fairly distracted. I'm hoping that by Christmas I have something together and results to post up. Plenty of fab/fitment/wrenching ahead of me. I won't have any drag strip action until April/May though, so it will be airboy's until then....

It'll be interesting to see how it spools since the gtx 76mm needs to spin significantly faster than the 82mm wheel yet will be lighter and smaller.

For those that want to follow my build, I have been keeping a build journal on my local Suby site....

http://indianaimpreza.com/showthread.php?t=11684

Progress of getting the 7064 has been slow. I have days off coming up and will make some solid progress over the holidays. Should have it running and on the road by the end of the month....

haha, sorry, forgot about that. I'll have to make it a point to update in this thread or start a build thread somewhere on this site...I have the week between Christmas and New Years off, so I'll be posting significant progress by then for sure...

97' OBS
STi drivetrain and everything else
EZ30R
8.5:1 compression
S366 mounted in rotated fashion
ID 1000cc injectors
Tial 48mm external waste gates x2
AEM standalone
More detail here.

I"m hoping to see 600whp+. Should be more than doable especially with Meth but will have a DD tune for 400ishwhp.
This is being pushed back BTW...
Building up a 2.5 for now. I just want my car running by spring so I'm "cheating out" till I can build the 3.0L and buy the standalone.
For now will be
EJ255/7 (04/05 FXT long block)
06/07' 2.5i long runner, large pellum intake manifold
CP or Wiseco pistons
Stock rods
ACL race bearings
Invidia EL slip joint header/up pipe with end cut to make a twinscroll for the S366
3" DP with high flow cat
Invidia Q300 catback(the GR8 fitment one. Cutting out spare tire well for clearance)
STi ECU
Meth injection

Well i got my 8374 from Geoff and teh lads at full race in mid december. It is installed and ready to go but having issues with one injector not firing. could be an injector ecu issue, so early Jan is when it should be looked at and then sorted.

Been saying people should do that for a long time now, you're the 3rd to do it custom, and appears to be the best of them.

Very cool to see Tino!
Especially a 8374-1.05 with the external gates

This is the only picture i have atm.. But this is of the old setup running a GT40R with a 1.06 housing.

We fabbed this low mount setup well over 2 years ago. The GT40R on VP109 1.8 bar made 604 whp...

yes i was very very lucky to have gotten one. Much thanks go to Geoff and Raffi at full race whom kept me in the loop and happy to respond to my constant questions and time line.

Well Geof thinks that this should make similar power to my 40R.. ~ 600 whp give or take but the most benefit is the shift of the curve to the left and much better off boost response when driving..

That much power is very hard to control in anycase i was spinning the car around from exits on 235 rcomp rubber. Have since moved to a widebody so i can accomodate 265 rcomps and can go up to 315s if that still isnt enough...

Attached are the graphs and compared to the GT40R i had. All that is changed from the setup is the turbo, bigger secondary injectors and changed to an aeromotice FPR instead of 2 sard FPRs..

this is pump fuel in Australia so around 91/93MON equivalent i think..

boost is 1.9 bar on the GT40R and 1.6bar for the EFR 8374...

I am not sure of timing etc between the two maps i know that the EFR 8374 tune was more conservative as we are going to push the E85 tune to see how much we can get out of it.

From the graph looks as if there is no additional benefit of spool over the GT40R. Top end looks to be very similar to the GT40R my tuner thinks that at the same boost level will make the same or more power than the GT40R..

The car feels very responsive and basically crab walks in second gear when i punted the pedal down flat. My tuner says that the car is running the best it ever has and for him to say that is impressive. The car runs like a stock sti so very happy with that. I cant wait to see what E85 tune will turn the car into.

Looks like your down 30-50ftlbs of torque depending on rpm ( after peak torque ) and about 30hp down. but thats is with 4-5 psi less, so it should have no problem making up the hl and torque, only things i have questions about is on one of the graphes the BW looks pretty choppy on spool up, and also with so much talk about transient response and all, i would have figured torque would have been better. do you know if the spool up was controled to keep the hit in torque smoother at peak????

^^^^^

You won't see a difference in transient response on most dynos

Well i know that but just saying the 40r seems to make a more peaky torque which is normally seen in smaller turbos, just wondering why the BW has a more rounded/smooth peak torque
