Yeah I might just do that , I don't think it will look as good with a blanket on... How's your car coming dipp? Are you going to put it on the rs mustang dyno? Can't wait to see your car in action , and see how those cnc'd heads throw down!! I might have to get on the rollers with you guys to see where my airboy numbers stand next to the local mustang numbers ...

Well I just got my borg kit going, not running as big of a turbo as some of you guys. Its only a S256 but I'm hoping to make good power on it. I'll be getting a small tune in the next couple weeks. Then after the motors is fully broken in, I'm going to turn it up and spray alot of meth and try and hit 500 to 520 on the little guy If i dont then i will upgrade to the 259.

True true. How do you like your 259? I Have the 256, but will most likely upgrade to a 259 later down the road.

Trying a few things to improve spool up time on this, first mod will be completely jet coating the headers, upipe and the Housing second mod will be doing a reverse manifold cutting the IC pipping by a few feet and last but not least injecting meth into the equation. Im hoping for full boost by 3800 rpm in third gear. Wish me luck

3800 thats really good, good luck. I hope your get it there. I was also thinking about reversing my manifold but we will see. I also spray meth, or will here shortly. If i can get full to at least 22 psi in the low 4000 I will be happy. But I'm almost thinking about running 28 psi on meth but we will see how that goes.

I have the .70 v band houseing. Hows the spool on your I've only got mine up to 10 psi. But at 10 psi it already feels better than my 20g at 20 psi and meth.

Well that is basically my plan as well 28psi, Ive got the cams and the shortblock to do it, so we will see the outcome. Hell I was hitting 20 psi on my tune by 4200rpm with a big header leak so I think it will be possible with all these upgrades.

I am on .63 ar, non v-band housing and hit 21psi at about 3700-3800 in 3rd (6spd). This sucker spools quick. That's on straight 93 pump gas, without any jet coating and any kind of P&P on kit components. Do as ASU said, plus P&P headers, throttle body and you'll def a cut good bit in spool time...those are my next mods.

Yeah we will se i still have stock headers and i kinda wanna keep them. I might P&P some but thats later. I think it will spool pretty quick. My biggest goal is 500whp.

The perrin header is the quickest spooling header out there and with Jethot watch out. Just a option for ya. You spent a lot of money at this point no need on doing it half ass.

Yeah. To tell you the truth I don't really like the way Subaru's sound with headers. Even unequal sound funny to me so I'm going to keep my stock headers as long as I can.

Stockies are good, not bad. They don't hurt spool that much, cast iron will always retain heat better than Steel. P&P, coated & wrapped they should be fine.

I tried 5 different headers on my car. I always went back to stock manifolds with heat shields. Then I tried a Cheap synic header. This Dropped the boost way down in the power band. 800 rpm easy on my car. The trouble is these things tend to crack cause they are cheaply made.

Got some good news from BW today -- there are 2 new notable turbos coming out worth mentioning

1) S200P --This is basically an S200SX 75/70 on steroids. Previously the 75/70 was only available with the small (approx 6" OD) non-recirculated compressor cover... the recirculated cover AKA ported shroud for this turbo is now available and is Vband compressor housing -> center section attachment. The recirc cover is larger (~7" OD). It uses a vband ported shroud compressor housing, 4" inlet, OD is identical to the S300P i ran a few months back. the vband compressor housing is a huge feature, and they way they machine precise countersunk steps, its impossible to leak.

^^i would consider this turbo to be a potential twinscroll 30R killer

2) S300SX 84/75 -- This uses the ultra high flow turbine wheel from the 88-75, with a smaller 72lb/min compressor. It will spool a bit quicker than the 88-75 but make more power than the 83/75 - a great middle point between the two. Truthfully, if this turbo was available 2 months ago, I would have used it on my time attack R14 for the Modified Tuner shootout

edit: the turbine wheel thats on the right is used ^^^^^^^

Geoff on the S200P what is the flow rate of that turbo and also can you get it in single scroll format. I would love to see the comparison between my modified Bullseye borg and this new Borg Turbo.
