Default Looking for Subaru tech to rebuild 2013 WRX ej25

Long story short I'm looking for a Subaru tech or someone who knows the EJ25 Engine. The car developed a rod knock and I need to replace the block. I can buy the new short block but I'm looking for someone to take off the "old" parts and install them onto the new shortblock. The car has 50k miles on it and was always taken care of. It really sucks but I'm looking to get this finished. If you think your up for the job let me know and we can talk about the next steps. I posted this in the NW section thinking it would be the best spot. Excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong location. Thanks.

if its stock why don't you take it in under warranty?

also this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2373020 is a pretty comprehensive list of shops for your needs.

Two fair choices and a bit biased only because of convenience. InFront Auto is the one I went with, mostly because I dealt with them before and their answers to all my questions indicated that they are capable.

Less of a road trip is Pacific Import Auto in Tacoma (PIA) they seem to have a very, very good reputation and is a bit closer.

In hindsight, I would flip a coin.

There's a growing list of people who are less-than-satisfied with Infront/Outback/whatever's build quality and customer service as of late.

I'd recommend PIA, no coin-flipping.

Either shop you choose will likely have a wait time of at least 30 days, probably more. So, if you need this done NOW, I'd suggest you start familiarizing yourself with the FSM..

Unfortunetley its not stock. However one of the subaru techs at a local shop told me that if i were to take the car back to stock that it would be more likly that the car could be fixed for a fair rate becuase it has 50k miles on it. Just looking for any advice.

FSM means Factory Service Manual.
