Unhappy Impreza 1.5 Catalytic converter HELP!

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you can help me out on this one, I am really stressed about this... I am from Costa Rica so sorry about my English.

So basically what happened is that I went to this place so they can do all the exhaust so I would get the Subaru rumble. I was a noob and didn't know to much about cars at that moment, so the place I went they destroy all the catalytic c (we began a big fight but there was nothing to do). now, I want to get it back to stock, and I need a catalytic converter, I was wondering if someone can help me get the correct one (tell me what other version of subaru might help) or if someone can get it at a really low price because over here they charge a lot of money to get it.

The thing is that my car is a 1.5 liter subaru impreza 2008, I think is the SL15 engine.

Any ideas of what I can put to replace the ones that were destroy?

Please help!

Well I dont know for sure, since the 1.5R is not offered here in the US.

If you measure the pipe diameter and its the same or bigger, and the flanges are the same, generally speaking it should work out fine. The prices are outragous for a new OEM converter here as well. You would probably get a better price crusing a scrap yard down there.

Keep me in mind if you ever want to swap your 1.5R to something bigger. Lol, I'll buy your old engine.

Over here is the same, they are charging me $3000 for the OEM cata... well they include from the manifull to the exuast but its insane.

Over here cars are really expensive.. mine cost $22,500 dolars, the wrx is $45,000 and STI $54,000... yezzz and you guys make more money than we do rape ...

Does some one know the diameter of the 2.5i cat? and price?

1.5R would get great mileage.

Secondly, there is no way I would pay $1k for stock exhaust let alone $3k.

If your replacing the entire system I'd find a completely stock used set off a 2.5i, and swap it all out. Surely you can find something like that at a junkyard for super cheap.

If all else fails there is always ebay. Heres half of it for $225.00
