Default The 666 beater.. Nasa St2 Build

Yup another race car build... As some people know this build has been taking forever, was almost scraped once, and i think i tried to blow it up once....

Anyways on to the fun, last year the cage was completed over at Izzys Custom Cages.

Over the past year I've had limited time, and really only stared at parts and made a bunch of stuff in CAD. (mainly over engineer everything, and add nothing but time to the build ) Last week i attempted to take a week off from work, and only successfully got 3 days off before i had to run back to work.

Random Stuff in progress.

Need to be completed
-UnderDash wire harness (car is an 05 rewiring everything to remove imbolizer and use 04 ecu)
-new brake lines (no abs)
-Redo caliper brackets w/ 355mm rotors
-New wing mounts for apr gtc300
-lexan windows
-rewire battery cutoff and move battery to passenger seat.
-drift near highschool, score with the womenz
-redo oil cooler w/ accusump (swap out 8an line to 10an)
-redo fire suppression (bigger capacity and more nozzles)
-swap fuel lines, (surge tank, 044 pump, etc.. E85 setup)

Here's something I've been toying with since November using the cayenne / brembo calipers. Another one of those things I've spent way to much time on, more details once I finish fabing the brackets.

Nice, I was wondering what happened to this car. Do you know the piston sizes of those calipers? I would just assume they're too big but I have no idea.

Nice setup.

A quick question though. It seems like you have multiple attachment points for your cage to the car's body - how is this legal for ST2? I thought you could have a maximum of 6 points of attachment...

ST2 is unlimited on cage attachments and bracing.

Today was a bust, I was hoping to have the motor all buttoned up, but ran into issues with missing / poor fitting parts. So I'll be pulling everything apart mid week, and make a few changes. Also found out for some odd reason the kill switch is dead.

On a positive note..
-Finally sourced some readily available 355mm rotors that might work. Bought a pair and they should be arriving in the next couple days.
-New wire harness showed up, and wiring will start Wednesday.

Are you planning on running a stock MC and just replacing the lines to use the Proportioning Valve?

Yup that's exactly what i'm doing for now. I love a new fancy pedal box and stuff, but its just not in the budget. If anything I might play around with fitting a different MC in place.

I hate wiring..

04sti under dash harness, I'll tackle this mess Friday.

Today though i knocked out the piece of harness between the cabin and the engine bay.

Before

After

The car wont have headlights, turn signals etc..., and the fans are wired up to new relays.
