One of the most ignorant and incorrect things I've read lately. I would have thought you'd been here long enough to figure that out by now...

This forum and the Gallery specifically celebrate modifications...of all types. That said, not everybody likes everything...that's just life.

he's redoing the interior so that comment unfortunately means nothing.

can you confirm whats rice on the outside? if you have the power to back up the look, how is it rice? i can understand you not liking the style, but does that automatically make it rice? seems like an unfair comment for someone's attempt at something unique and different.

...and what exactly is rice about my car??? Most of the pics are out dated, because a mod had to come in and clear out alot of my thread. There is nothing rice about the car, and if you think that, then I feel sorry for you. I could see if I had it decked out w/ Autozone special parts, but that's from what I'm doing. Best of luck on your build.

Ferg you of all people know that if you put any kind of body kit and show here in Nasioc, theres alot of people saying negative things

Your right mods are celebrated (motor, drivetrain, a little bit of interior,) but once you thorw some big wheels or somthing that doesnt look mostly stock on the exterior then all the flamers come out.

Basically what it comes down to me is if its not funtional and it doesnt look like stock then its rice.

P.S. but if its JDM its TIGHT!!!

this is just my observation

With the direction my build has turned, I have to quit saying that, seeing that my finances have improved as of late, hence the balls out additional building.

you need to observe a little harder then...and try to remember that a few people being overly vocal about something doesn't mean they speak for everyone...

My tastes don't agree with the OP's car...but it has nothing to do with a wing, a bodykit, a motor, a seat, or any one part. For me either I like a car or I don't and to be honest if you have to hard sell me on a thing I'll usually end up liking it less. Don't tell me your exhaust is super rare and JDM. Does it look and sound cool? Don't brag to me about how rare and expensive your seats are. Do they feel good to sit in and not look like my grandma's old sofa? Don't give me a list of parts like it's something other then a glorified grocery list. Does the car drive and handle better with all that stuff?

This isn't about the OP's car, it's about any modified car...and some of my favorite cars on here don't look a thing like they did from the factory...

Any modification, body kits, wheels, motor, or whatever should always be seen as part of the bigger picture. Those things out of context can be silly but when part of a well executed build they work...maybe. As with anything subjective there's always going to be the matter of taste (or lack thereof) separating people's opinions on any given car and that's just it, I'm stating my opinion. What I won't do is be rude, crude, or disrespectful to the person on the other end. The OP has put a tremendous amount of effort into his Scoob and for that I applaud him loudly. What I think about his car doesn't matter to anyone but me...which is why you will rarely ever see me say anything negative about someone's car! If it makes him smile every time he gets behind the wheel then who am I to say he's doing it wrong? Just another opinionated ****jack on a car forum.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That just made my night, lol. Estimated time of completion should be the beginning of April. Anyone know any tuners fluent in Delta Utec??? I'm thinking of having Jermaine (sorry if I spelled it wrong) from Turbo XS do it.

i think you need to observe a little harder.. unless the front lip is a v-limited and the trunk is wingless it'll most likely get flamed..

Aren't we all??? Lol, the guys @ Andrewtech swear by the Utec Delta, so I trust Sam and Andrew. They've done quite a few builds, and I'm excited to see it get tuned after I break in the motor. I already let my job know that I'm taking a week vacation to do nothing besides drive to break in the motor, lol. When I installed my ACT 6-puck, I put 500 miles on it in a day, lol.

total bull****.

so if a couple of people post negative things about something that means the entire forum must feel the same? that makes sense....

internet forums are where people voice opinions, both the good and the bad. some have the ability to do so without resorting to bottom feeder comments and thread bare insults...others, well not so much.

it's an unfortunate fact that once one person points a thread down a negative path people come out of the woodwork to jump on the bandwagon...full of cliches tonight.

again, just noises in the crowd and if the best thing someone can come up with to insult your car is "that's rice" then they're obviously not worth listening to. Common sense.

I'm not going to jack this guy's thread any further but I could post plenty of cars from this forum that don't have a v-limited anything or plenty of junk on their trunk that are overwhelmingly highly thought of...just look at some of our Top Scoob winners. Yes, shameless plug.
