Not yet, I'm looking @ a set of Project mu's or may go w/ an Endless sponsorship, but even w/ that, they're $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. If not now, I'll be upgrading the rotors, pads, and lines for sure to help balance my stopping power, but I'll def be getting everything together. I really want mu's though.

I wouldn't say oem 4pots are barely enough to stop the car. And the car isn't even done yet...

Definitely not, lol. I am up for adoption to any wealthy families though, lol.

I remember being in school and being stoked to get a new shift knob or tires for my RS. This is bananas. I also would have spent money on my car if I could have afforded it so I can't blame you.

Now looking back I would have saved any extra money I had for a down payment on a house.

By all means get it while you can

Thank you all, my vehicle was not totaled, and ironically, all the insurance money went to fixing everything that was messed up in the accident. I've gotten to a point with my car where I've said *** it. I've got it all apart now, might as well go ape **** with it. I guess I've also neglected to mention that I don't pay for rent seeing that I still live @ home while I finish up school. Which is what allows me to save / spend money a little more freely than others. Pair that with the fact that I have a pretty decent job and voila, Project Black Mamba was born. Also, my car after my career / schooling is one of my main priorities. I mean, I give up certain amenities that others do on the reg while @ my age, like going clubbing all the time, not really drinking much, and what not just to sacrifice to get whatever my grubby little spanish hands can afford to throw on my car.

I can see this. Living at home + possible student loans leaves you with drinking money or modding money. You've decided to pour more into your car's cup than the bar's cup.

/trying too hard to make a rhyming pun

but seriously I would have been doing the same had I not lost interest after a few months of car payments for the S2000. I don't know how this would play out with any sort of girlfriend though

Solid JDM interpretation nonetheless and great color choice. I've always loved that S.

i guessed right

hey are you going to go flat black on the middle section of the rear bumper like the reference picture? it would be copying but honestly it would look so much better with the flat black than all one color. think about it unless your doing it or doing something different, i can photoshop it if you got some ideas. lmk

I was thinking about doing that, orrrrrrrr addding a couple extra coats of candy to make the green on that portion darker than the rest of the car, if not, then I'm going to go with black.

BTW, we'll be picking everything up from the machine shop later this week, and my engine bay gets painted Saturday as somewhat of a tester to see how many coats of candy I want to throw on.

Stay tuned for more updates / pics shortly,

Your a subie nerd obviously since your on the forums like the rest of us . . . but your a sticker and a mesh bumper insert away from being a BROTATO. I hope the build goes well and we never see a video of you tracking your car while fist pumping to some of that "club" music. Be cool, its in there some where i got faith since you bought a subie.

I’m def not a 'i love haters" guy, but that **** cracks me up, and just makes those of us with quality builds enjoy it that much more

LMAO! As I read through this thread its amazing the closed mind set of people in general
in a way it has nothing to do with nasioc.

To the OP. keep doing your thing and stay going hard. with all these comments posted
I see more the reason for you to rock I heart Haters! the build is going quite nice, and
has come a long way from its stock form! I look forward to your progress. def keep us posted.

Gracias, I love my Subie and the people who drive them simply because it's something different and the people who usually drive them are just that, different. I find it amusing that people get upset and are at times semi-hateful towards my car, lol, when in all reality, one day when they're stuck on the side of the road and I pull over to help them out they may realize it then. I appreciate you having faith in me and not writing me off as a complete & total douche bag, lol.

I don't see why people get so worked up over things that are so minor, which is why I relish in every moment that someone gets all worked up over something so minor. Hence why I rock the "I love Haters" shirt, lol. This build has been a time consuming labor of love, frustration, and at times, hatred, lol. Once all is said and done, I hope for my car to be one of the most recognized Subies ever built... Hopefully, lol.

Indeed Kami Speed FTW, they're the best over there! My car has come a long way and it still has a way to go. Should be done by the end of May, officially.

End of May the latest. We're shaving, primering, and tucking my bay / wires right now. We'll probably be spraying paint in there this weekend, and then after that, my motor gets dropped in, and we cut out my rear quarters to fit the wheels so there's absolutely no rubbing.

I am too. I've also decided to matte my carbon fiber too, like the hood, trunk, GT-Wing, etc... or should I leave it all gloss w/ my matter paint?
