I'm looking to take a regular turbo xs fmic kit and use the piping for a rotated kit. I do not have access to a welder and was wondering if anyone has any experience with doing something along the lines of this? If so please post pics

I did this exactly. Had to cut two pieces and turn them using couplers to put them back together. I ended up taking off almost 3 feet of piping total and it all came out great. The air flow of the intercooler is now reversed however, but that shouldn't have any affect on anything. It is running great so far, gets tuned saturday at EFI.

It's weird but probably just personal preference. Some people like stainless piping and some like aluminum better. Coke and pepsi.

The cost of aluminum to stainless, plus no back purge required makes me always lean towards aluminum for intake piping.

Aluminum charge pipes just look cheap in my opinion,(ex. the shinny ebay ones) , I just prefer stainless, don't mind the extra cost, I like the colors and weld beads on stainless. Not sure if I'm going to leave mine bare stainless, powdercoat , or ceramic coat them. Just have to see when i get to that point on my build.

I rotated my stocker, it was a blast. Put down 330 whp

Speed density would have made it even better.

I am planing to hit 450-500awhp on E-85 at 28-30psi. I know the power will just drop off nasty, but why not try and hit it. After I am done f-ING around with the VF-39 I am going to put my FP HTA 3586 on and go for much bigger numbers.
