Morgantown WV Thread - Page 28

yeah they came out of nowhere in a white F250. at first i thought i was gonna have someone to play with then outta nowhere they lit em up. it was a written warning for "reckless-Donuts in snow" and then they wrote me for trespassing. The two officers made a huge deal out of it too, acted like i was driving 100mph. if they would'v simply flashed the lights and told me to leave i would'v gone home but nope told me to get out of the car and stand there for 20 minutes while they wrote me up

Unmarked Morgantown Police? That's crazy. especially at 3am. Go help people that are in accidents on the road.

that sucks but at least is just a warning!

ive been thinking motown is probably not the smartest place to play in the snow late at night. lots of drunks out driving means the cops are going to be out. plus there are a lot of motown cops compared to smaller citys like fmont or cburg.

The morgantown police are getting more and more unmarked vehicles. They recently got a silver Explorer, and they have quite a few unmarked impalas and crown vic's. It doesn't really make sense why they would be all the way out on Greenbag at 3am though.

and it wasnt like i was on the road either i was BEHIND the mall back in the parking lots no one use. i know that they also have a black Dodge Caravan, but i think that may be university police.

the warning was only for the reckless, i still got the trespassing ticket

If any of you have an iPhone, check out the app called 5-0 radio, it let's you listen to your local polce scanner. I would definitely keep it on so I could know if they were coming (ib4fastandfurious)

i used to have a scanner but eventually sold it. Most police departments are switching to digital radios so the scanner types that use cb radio's are going out of style

well trespassing isnt as bad as a wreckless but still sucks.

i use scanner buddy on my driod and plug it in to my aux.

Yeah the app uses a digital feed. I don't think cops here us cb radio anymore lol

Yeah I tore the place up around 11:45 last night for a good 45 minutes. I can't believe that there were actually cops up there. Even in town I saw people sliding around and nothing be done.

Nice to see there is so many people in morgantown on here. I just found the forum while googling an electrical problem. I went to WVU for a semester in 2003, and i am moving back in may to continue my engineering degree. Looking for apartments as I type this. I've got a silver 99 2.5 RS. I am sure i'll see some of you guys around this summer. Also happy to hear all the good reviews for the sube shop. Now I feel safe going somewhere.

PS. Seems most people here have WRXs, I do have WRX floor mats! Haha

What he means is the cops are using digital trunking radio systems, which can not be effectively scanned with cheap gear.

Even with an expensive setup you'd have a hard time knowing what was going on, some systems even use encryption.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for an exhaust shop that can bend a custom catback for my Baja. I've never done anything other than bolt-on systems before and I'm leery of letting just anyone with a pipe bender near her.

Last thing I want is a crooked/ill fitting exhaust that looks like something a rice kiddy bodged together with some baling wire and a few exhaust clamps.

Expert exhaust in fairmont is awesome, they built my single port headers and did my full 2.25" stainless headerback and all the work has been very well done imho

I've seen the car above parked at the mountainlair too. Who drives the white pearl colored suby? 06/07 year? It has stickers up along the left side of the windshield. Beautiful car. Props to that guy.

Oh and I just creep the boards here...one day I'll make an appearance at a meet. Some time soon I hope.
