Default What's the most you've carried?

I just put in some new laminate flooring in my house the other week. I had to buy 24 boxes of wood, and I really didn't think about the weight off all the boxes till they were all loaded in my car. I definitely noticed on the drive home though; my view out of my rearview mirror was of the road behind me, not of the cars behind me! If you ever wanted to know what an OBS looks like with a suspension drop, just look at my pics! I never bottomed out the shocks or anything, but it got me to wondering how much you can actually put in these cars before doing some damage. I'd be interested in seeing others pics of "overloaded" Impreza's.

I've yet to carry that much weight, but I have hauled some pretty big stuff. I'm really glad that I went with the hatch.

When we moved from an apartment, I threw 2 5 foot tall bookcases with ALL the books included in the rear of the bugeye. It definitely worked out the springs on the drive to the new place.

i put 11 boxes of laminate in mine a few weeks ago, but it wasnt small boxes like that, there were over 20 sq ft per box, 45 pnds each, so 500 pnds. Plus about 100 pnds of other things (couple buckets of plaster, etc) and myself and my wife (probably another 500) my rally armors were scrapping on the slightest of bumps, they had about a 1/2" clearance without us in the car

With my 93 wagon I had a complete smallblock chevy engine and a 700r4 trans (separated..of course) in the back. That definitely had it dragging tail. Otherwise I tow a 1800lb camper with it while camping and a 2000lb utility trailer filled with dirt, stone and what not when I am not. Makes all the local truck guys wonder why they bought their big brawny trucks with less than 1/2 the MPG I get ..LOL

I gave the brand new OBS a workout. No where near the weight you had though. 10 bags of mulch weed barrier and edging material. You can definitely feel the extra weight. She didn't like it all that much.
