Default Subaru Dealership B/S with my WARRANTY with my TRANNY =/

yupp, GM and SUBARU has the worst warranty in the country! I got back from san diego March 2nd, and i dicided to take my 07 Impreza WRX to the dealership since its due for an Inspections for 50XXX miles. When i got on the Interstate 24, and tried to speed shift into 3rd gear. That 3rd blew out . so, all i hear id my bearings bounce up and down. ONE THING the guy that took car of my car said is " AS LONG AS YOU DID NOT TAKE OUT/TAMPER WITH THE TRANSMISSION." so now, they tried to blame it on me and saying i ABUSE my tranny, and how is that possible? thats what the warranty is for. AM I RIGHT? My brother in law and I got smart with them and we talked about Hondas since we like hondas, how their warranty was the shiet. haha. and they got pissed off. SOOO, SHOULDN'T OF THEY HAD A RECALL ON 06-07 IMPREZA WRX? because i know theres more models like mines that messed up i bet. I KNOW THERES A WARRANTY FORUM on HERE. I am paying 3 grand to get it fixed by them turds, and i am hoping they do a good job.

On April 2, 2010. it will be 1 MONTH that they kept my car. Its really bad service because 8th - 19th, ive kept on calling them to see hows my ride doing. and no calls back what so ever. my parents got into a wreck so, where down to 1 car.

*SIGH* Subaru Management SUCKS ASSS!

P.S. they are just replacing with 3rd,4th,5th gear. shouldnt of they replace 1 thru 5th, plus my Reverse too? i will posted up pictures in a few if you wanna see it

3 grand should net you an entire new tranny.. not just a rebuilt trans.

They need to have a recall on all WRX trannys but thats something they are not going to do. If i were you id call a Lawyer because at 3k for 3rd, 4th, and 5th they are screwing you big time, or i would go pick it up and take it somewhere else to have it done since they are not going to honor the warante anyway.

my tranny went out on my 06 and they fixed it for free ....but they did give me the evil eye ..

On an 07.... and they don't want to fix it because of "abuse"? As long as you did not mess with your transmission there is no possible way that they can claim that you abused your transmission unless all of your other gears are shot to hell. To put it simply, if all your other gears and the rest of the drivetrain work fine, and there is only noticeable wear from daily driving, then they can not claim that you abused it. The only way that they can actually refuse your warranty with abuse, is when they rip the transmission out and find that everything else in there is pretty much scrap metal. If they did not pull your transmission to see that it was a defect or abuse, I'd start calling people ASAP. You have to remember, times are hard now, and people are looking to make a dollar at every chance they get. Even screwing you over on something you're already paying thousands of dollars for.

From what I read from various posts, some dealerships try to pull the "abuse" accusation so they don't have to file a claim with SOA. They would rather have you pay for service/repair.

The Subaru Warranty is fine, it's the Dealerships honoring the warranty that can be difficult. Have you tried another Dealership? Have you tried contacting SOA directly? They can probably help you out or check to ensure the dealership is doing their job properly.

Also, try posting in the Warranty Issues and SOA Problems forum. Others will be able to chime in to help you out with this. I'm sure someone has dealt with this before.
