Default Confused

My car: 2008 WRX 5MT

Situation: I used to have a Cobb Accessport AP-SUB-002 on my car but I unmarried it and installed it on my fiance's 2007 Forester XT 4EAT.

Problem: Someone is selling his AP-SUB-002 to me. When I checked Cobb's web site and also e-mailed them, they said the AP-SUB-002 will not work with the 2008 WRX, that I need AP-SUB-003.

So, if the AP-SUB-002 will not work, how come I was able to buy and used one since March, 2008? I got it from Perrin 2 years ago but even Cobb sold the same thing. How come now it won't work?

Does this mean also I have to sell my AP because now it won't work on either of our cars?

Please help!
