Default 2011 STI a sedan again?

dun dun dun

Quote:
Subaru has released this teaser image in advance of its press conference Thursday at the New York auto show with the slogan “The Wing Is Back.” Clearly, this is a reference to the large wing that adorned the previous generation of STI sedans. When Subaru redesigned the Impreza a few years ago, the STI high-performance version was offered as a hatchback only. It looks like the company has finally come around to adding a sedan.

Pictures of the widebody WRX Sedan and Hatch in the flesh are up in News & Rumors.

Car looks hot in red. The sedan gets quad tips.

Subaru is also advertising "23 hours until the release of the fastest STi ever". I wonder what it will be. I seriously doubt it is more power.

SOA Blog confirmed the STI sedan and that fastest does not necessarily mean more power. Either lighter or much improved suspension is my guess.

Yeah, I read that. But I also doubt it got lighter. Unless there was a significant revision to the body. That's rarely the trend with cars these days.

My guess is a significantly beefed up suspension.

So you said you may upgrade your 08?! Do you enjoy depreciation?

Actually, they did implement a weight shedding feature. The windows won't role down and the doors stay locked when it detects the radio frequencies used by fast food drive-thru's.

I'm not that serious. I'm enjoying the car now. The only upgrade to maybe consider (to reduce payments) would be a 2011 WRX.

for those of you who don't follow the rumors thread. I honestly like that front end a lot. They went back in time with it, and I think it looks 10x better.

still looks like a mazda. and why the quad tips? if i got one, the first thing i would have done is change to a single exit exhaust. i do really wanna see what the new STI looks like though, maybe a really mean mazda?
