Just got the great news guys. Juan's been on here for awhile and has always been really enthusiastic about the vf39. He shared the same passion I had for making big things happen with a vf series turbo.

With this, I contacted Phatron and we agreed we would sponsor Juan to help him try to hit 11's on the vf.

Tonight was a great night, but after missing third on a very promissing pass he was only able to knock out a 12.0, but traps were 115,117,119,120,120,121!!!

I have limited info, Juan will update. But damn, for an E-tune, I'd say Ron and myself didn't do all that bad

I wanna talk ****, for entertainment's sake, but that's a solid run for ANY VF39 under the BEST of circumstances

Thumbs up Juan, 11s are certainly in your near future

Your trans done yet? I say you guys try for 123mph and we'll try to keep up

I'm pretty sure this will destroy the skeptisism about your traps as well, which is a good thing

I guess 120's are possible on the vf, although my prediction was 118-119 tops.

I told Juan that if next weekend wasnt my birthday, i hop a flight and drive his car

No. We tuned it before they did.

Juan said from the beginning that he would run the map that had the best powerband on the road and that's what he did.

The only 35r STi that was there was trapping 119 and 120.

That kid couldnt believe Juans setup. I can picture his reaction

Lets see what this car can do in cooler temps. Im assuming on a picture perfect pass 122-122.5 isnt out of the question, but still sounds absolutely rediculous to me, haha.

In the near future Ill be getting a 2010 WRX out. I think i may be driving it. I have to do some research on the trans, I'm looking forward to driving it, but I'm not looking forward to grenading a customer's trans going for 11.50's on the vf52, hahaha!!

Thank u motion lab tuning
I read the other thread, I saw what happened.

I'm just confused.

If the e-tune was good, why did he bring it to another tuner?

Was the ebc and cold start not good with the e-tune?

So VFs can really hit 120's huh. Even I didn't really believe it when rob hit his 122mph a few weeks ago and I tuned the thing! I guess this verifies it. Take that Evo's !

Rob, I think we need to shoot for 10's now!!

It was a free tune/ they used the word "sponser" earlier, that and not everyone likes to put down their old tuners, me on the other hand, don't mind cuz he puts down ALL others besides himself and if anyone did even the smallest amount of research would find several companies from him that have had numerous complaints, hearing the people's words alone will refresh a lot of your memories to things that have happened to yourselves previously

I don't know were to start.....thanks to PhatBotti Tuning for spending a lot time on my map.

I suck at launching, I couldn't do it. I think my main problem was loading the tranny to launch. When I try to release the clutch a little bit to load the tranny, I couldn't feel when the clutch was starting to engage. Then I realized that the car was already moving , and I was like oh **** full throttle LC and lets go. I think I am going have to use the hand break method. My shifting was solid IMO, I miss one gear and shifted way too fast on the power band once, out of 7 passes. I really think the car can trap 2-3mphs higher as it seats with no changes what so ever.

I use the LC set 6100rpm with 20psi on the tires, then I said **** the LC and I try to launch with out it the last 2 passes.

First pass was done with the Motion Lab Map no launch. The rest of the passes were done with PhatBotti tuning Map. The third pass was my 11sec pass but I miss the crap out of 3rd gear .

On pass #4 I shifted to second way too early...

Pass #6 and #7 no LC, first time doing that ever.

I want to thank my sponsors, camtuning, motion lab tuning, and specially PhatBotti Tuning TKR Mikey and Ron for the great map.

Enjoy

LOL, we knew 11.60's were possible, but at like 118mph. Well, we know what the real deal is now.

Friendly race to 123mph on the vf?

Juan's 07 was just as your 06, seats, wing, ect ect.
