Default Looking for summer tire suggestions

Time for some new summer tires. I do about 2 HPDE events a year. I have Enkei RPF1's 17x8 and an '02 WRX. I previously ran Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 tires, which I know are not highly suggested.

Looking for something that is all around good for track days and street driving, and is relatively affordable.

Dunlop Dirrezza Z1 Star Specs - 245/40s would be perfect.

I ran those in a 225/50(?)/16 on 7" wheels and was very impressed. They wore well, were predictable and didn't fall off too much late in the session.

Awesome, thanks a lot. On Tire Rack I am looking at 245/45/17, 235/45/17, or 235/40/17. Which is most appropriate? None of these will rub with my lowering springs?

235/40/17 will give you a slight gearing advantage, which is good, and will also have the least chance of rubbing.

My next set will be 235/40/17 Dunlop Dirrezza Z1 Star Specs on the 17x8 wheels I already own.

Inexpensive and sticky, do it.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Yokohama Advan Neova AD08, the best out there.

My Yokohama S-Drives surprized me in a good way...comfy tire for street driving and wears pretty good. Awesome in the rain.

Star Spec 245/40/17 on a 17x8 wheel... Will be running that combo when my RA-1s wear out, just cheaper and last longer than race tires
