2010 Formula Drift Series in Long Beach, CA.

The start of the Formula Drift series is going down this weekend.

Anyone other then me going? I'll be there Friday and Saturday doing photography.

EDIT: $25 = 1 year sub (13 issues and 7 DVDs) PLUS two issues of your choice, a license plate frame and as many stickers as you want.

Speculating... I think Foust is dialed in to the tC. He's placed podium a lot in the Z there... I think that if he avoids a breakage, he'll place top 3. Nishida's debuting the GT-R & Hubinette is in the Challenger... should be a good one.

Edit: K speculating further.. top 3 will be Foust, Tuerck and McQuarrie.

Placing bets? Haa.

Hubinette usually is a good finisher, but with the Challenger I know they had a lot of problems with the axle.

You can't leave out Forsberg who took the crown last year or even Vaughn Gitten in the Mustang. After a year in the car he should have it down (noticed I used the word "should). I do agree with Tanner being the number one to take it. I would have to say Rhys Millen is due to take a podium at Long Beach this year. It's one of his favorite courses.

Hopefully it will be great weather and even better drifting. And naw, I don't want to take any bets.. HAHAHA!

JR is in another new chassis this year, the 2011 5.0 Mustang. His 2010 went to Justin Pawlak and Pawlak's Bergenholtz RX8 went to Joon Maeng.

From what I've seen of past events with JR, once something gets under his skin, he doesn't stay consistent. He hasn't placed podium at Streets, at least not since before 2007. While Tyler hasn't either, he was getting more and more consistent over the course of last season. I believe he will be Falken's ace this year and a top contender for the crown.

This is the second year where the Friday practices are open for public viewing. The cool thing for Friday is the driver's have an autographing session.
