Default AutoX Tire Pressures for factory stock GR STI

What's optimal for a bone stock GR STI? 40/36 psi? 38/36 psi maybe?

I'll be learning the new car, and I'd rather not be changing a thing on the car while I adjust my driving.

I've been wondering the same thing. I know on the hoosiers alot of guys are running mid 30's in the front and high 40's in the rear.

Not sure about street tire pressures.

On the GR/GH/GE, the rear double a arm suspension keeps the camber very well and therefore the rear tends to grip quite well in compression (ie push). A way to combat that is keeping the rear higher than the front.

I tend to start with 40/48 cold...comes up to about 45/50 at temp but I"m on Kook RS2s which don't have particularly stiff sidewalls. Another GH in our club has Star Specs and he does about 38/42 if I'm not mistaken.

I'm really surprised by those high pressures in the rears. I'd expect that to result in the rear being abrupt to let go at the limit. Couldn't the same results be achieved by running a lower pressure, and thus getting a smoother limit?

Also, doesn't high pressure in the rear cause the outer shoulders to wear severely? Maybe I'm just used to different cars (FWD).
