Default Cyclists VS Motorists rights to the road - argue about it in here not in YLYL.

What the title says. If someone already did this, bite me - I half heartedly searched. Back to the funny.

You can't really argue rights. The law states it. What is there to argue?

Pretty simple to me, if you want to go 20 in a 50...don't get mad when I mow you over. If you're not anywhere close to the speed limit, take it to the sidewalk.

The rules of the road are universal. Case in point is Princess vs Rogue's clown car. Who won that battle?

I don't have a problem with "sharing the road," as long as the bikers realize that I won't get in their way if they don't get in mine.

It's a ****ing endemic in this state, epecially in Tucson. Every numbnuts and his mother has a roadbike, and they all seem to need to ride together. 20-30 bike packs, total disregard for safety or common sense.

I've posted this story before, but one time I was leaving my parents house and heading into town... you have to go up and over a decent hill to get to the main road, and the speed limit is 45 going down the hill. A pack of 20ish neon green dildos appears, riding two- and three-abreast, on a tiny shouldered, curvy, 2 lane 45MPH road. Going downhill, they're probably doing 35-40MPH. It takes me 2 minutes to pass the ****ing pack, since they're hanging out WELL over the shoulder-line. A few honks, a couple hand gestures, and an assload of dirty looks gets me around them.

Then I get to the light. Two lane, left-turn lane and right-turn / straight lane. I have to sit for about 30 seconds, so the pack catches up. The light turns green as they arrive.

The entire ****ing pack of spandex blows by me on the right side as I'm turning behind the car in front of me. Complete disregard for any sort of left-turn lane.

**** the self-entitled douches. I wanted so very bad to pass them, slam on my brakes, and open the passenger door.

What do you say when you're on the sidewalk and someone zips by at 20+ mph?

A raging cyclist fed up with aggressive Manhattan drivers took matters into his own hands yesterday, jumping on the hood of a limo that clipped him and smashing in the windshield with his fists.

Bike messenger-gone-wild Perzeus Forte, 20, also ripped out the front passenger window, tore the shirt of driver Darr Mohammed, 49, and clocked him in the face during the savage road rage attack around 1 p.m., sources said.

"He hit me and kept going," Forte later fumed to The Post. "I'm sick of this."

Forte's rampage began while riding his bike up Sixth Avenue in Chelsea, where Mohammed grazed him around West 19th Street. The limo kept going until he got stopped by a red light at West 20th Street.

ROAD RAGE: Biker Perzeus Forte (above) is held yesterday after beating limo driver Darr Mohammed and smashing his windshield.

That's when Forte flipped out, ditching his wheels and sprinting 100 yards to the car. He leaped onto the hood while screaming, "I'm going to kill you! I'm going to kill you, motherf- - -er!" according to one witness.

"He was running like he was possessed. I just couldn't believe how mad he was," said Mohammed, who was on his way to a job in Midtown.

"I swear to God I thought I was a dead man," the shaken Mohammed said. "He was going to kill me."

Forte crushed the windshield with his two open palms while repeatedly shouting, "I'm going to kill you! Get out of the car!" the witness said.

The belligerent biker then jumped off the hood and grabbed the half-open driver's-side window, shaking it back and forth until it shattered, the witness said.

Forte allegedly socked Mohammed in his left eye and ripped the breast pocket of his blue dress shirt. Mohammed, who lives in Bayonne with his wife and daughter, suffered a black eye.

"I was not going to leave my car. He would have ripped my head off," Mohammed said. "This has never happened to me. I have a family at home."

Fellow bikers peddled up to Forte and calmed him down before he could do further damage, according to sources.

He then turned his attention to his blood-soaked hands, plucking out shards of glass while waiting for the cops.

Even though Mohammed didn't want to press charges, Forte was arrested on charges of misdemeanor assault and harassment. He was given a desk appearance ticket to return to court at a later date.

"This will cost me about a thousand [dollars]," Mohammed said. "I'm just glad to be alive."

For the most part cyclists are idiots, they swerve back and forth in the road, ride side by side taking up more room. WHY because they think they have the ******* right to do so. Yes the law states that they have the right of way, but **** the law, like no one else on here has broken the law before.

Well, if I hear the bicylcist...I stick my arm out and clothesline him/her. If it's too late and I have been passed, I mock their choice in spandex.

But the point is moot, I don't use the sidewalk...my SUV doesn't fit on the ****ing sidewalk.

I really enjoy roads with bike lanes stay in your lane and I'll stay in mine, where I live we have many amazing roads both enjoyable to drivers and bikers (and motorcycles).

I enjoy sitting back and watching rough ryders' blow bike the local tour de france, I think the problem is that cyclists are often on roads that they are an obstruction to traffic and are a hazard to both themselves and to the drivers. Requiring drivers to cross double yellow lines, veer into oncoming traffic all to save the cyclist's life.

The arrogance is what bothers me the most, the roads are 35-45mph regardless of hills, turns or anything yet no biker can keep up with this and they claim "SHARE THE ROAD"....no F*** you, you are being selfish, you are holding up many people for your selfish biking pleasures.

I'm with you and often wonder why these Lance Armstrongs choose to ride on tiny curvy coads doing 7mph when its 30-40 and no chance to pass them.

I think I actually get more pissed off at the fact that they have to get in uniform to ride. When I used to roller blade or go ice sakte, I wouldn't throw on all my hockey pads and helmet. I don't get in an Apline Stars suit and helmet when I get in my car to go to the store. The one man bike race just irritates me to no end.

Those funny looking little spandex sorts are made to minimize chafing and have padding to prevent saddle sores. The jerseys have pockets in back to store keys, food, etc...

It's not just a fashion statement.
