Got 11 of them signed today, four of them going to my son and his wife to be, one going to myself and my wife, and the others I got for friends and family. Not as crazy as the Ozzy signing...thank god.

Did you inspect the bottles? Out of the 7 we got, 3 of them were smeared on Maynard's signature because of the douche that put the bottles into our box decided to GRAB the signature right after Maynard signed it...

Dude can make a damn decent bottle of wine. I've still got a couple Strongholds lying around, and a Merkin.

His new Caduceus stuff is a little overpriced, though.

yeah...the douche smeared three of them, man I wish I would of caught that before I left, but on the other hand he did sign a personal bottle to my son and his wife to be that said " To Tim & Denise". This was so cool cause I told him the story about how my son and Denise met at a TOOL concert on a blind date 3 years ago, and than last year they flew out here and he proposed to her at Page Spring Cellars with a bottle of Maynards wine. They are going to be so surprised when I give them their signed bottles along with a signed book from "OZZY".

The Caduceus wine is expensive because of how limited it is. The Chupacabra stuff was California grapes. AZ Stronghold wine is from grapes from Willcox(?), AZ.

Caduceus is from Maynards vineyard in Jerome, AZ. They havent had much luck with his vineyard yet, and its VERY small compared to Stronghold land in Willcox(?)

Funny i heard him on the radio last friday talking about this "signing". He basically said how much he hated it, and was more or less forced to do it.

He was acting like everyone who shows up to these things is a big douche bag, and how god awful it was.

I guess i am just weird, because running out and putting money in some guys pocket, who basically is saying i am a giant douche bag, would not happen..lol I don't care WHO it is.

So your sitting there telling this guy a story, while the whole time he is likely thinking how much of a loser you are, and how much he hates you..lol NICE.

Being an introvert is fine, i am fairly introverted myself. However to be an ungrateful TOOL and openly snub the people who made your success possible, is retarded.

Just to hear Maynard talk, was comical to me. Maybe he is an introvert not by choice but because he is such a huge vagina, no one ever wants to be around him..lol

You're assuming a lot here...

1. That I even said a word to the guy (which I didn't because im not the 'oh my gawd I love you so much' type of person)
2. That Maynard wasn't screwing around during the radio interview.

If you've seen any of his stuff recently (like his Puscifer performances) you'd know he likes messing with people... Hell, the whole Introvert thing could be his way of messing with people too..

I am not assuming anything, I wasn't speaking for you, i was more or less generalizing what this guy deals with all day. I wasn't trying to make you out to be some star struck teenager, at all. I was just saying, it sucks to be a fan, and admire someones work, pay your hard earned money, to be insulted.

I would doubt if he was joking. I think the question caught him off guard, because he started to try and back peddle. And it wasn't "i think all my fans are all d-bags", but if you can read between the lines, it may as well have been.

It just sounded like he legitimately hated these things. Which is bull**** to me, at least have enough respect for the people lining your pockets, to not say that type of ****.

I was lucky enough to catch him in a social mood at the signing, after I told him the story of my son and Denise, he asked which wine did Tim choose to propose with and which they liked the best. He said he remembered me from his Dad's wedding that I was invited to a few years back in Jerome, and no Pat he wasn't hitting on me, despite my good looks and charm, but thanks for the compliment...I'm old enough to be his Dad, and I don't Flame...he likes nurses and young boys like yourself. ha ha.

See, I'm not insulted by what he said though. I guess that's the difference between you and I. I have an understanding about the kind of fanatics he's had to deal with for the past 18-20 years now. Hell, at the Q&A session there were a few of those fanatics in the crowd and it really was embarrassing.

I'm a pretty big fan of his but I haven't ever tried the wine. I only recently heard about some documentary they've made about his winery. "Blood To Wine" I think it's called.

Or, you could be like me... I never particularly liked Tool, I don't give a **** about his attitude during signings, I just like really good wine, and the dude makes really ****ing good wine for great prices (Caduceus excluded).
