Default is my power steering pump supposed to be this loud?

Like, louder than my ****ing 3" catless exhaust at idle?

Default power steering noise

Mine is really loud too!! I'm currently arguing with the dealer about it. Took a 2010 STI out and it is silent.

Are you sure the sound is coming from the power steering pump? Something easy to do is to take off the a/c belt to rule out the a/c tensioner pulley. Those are notorious for going bad.

Better than no fluid, at least it didn't suck air in. But, if the fluid is that low that means it's leaking from somewhere.

You said there was plenty of fluid on 4/11, did it change or did you guess the level?

It was me overestimating my abilities. Like "no way I forgot to add power steering fluid when I finished this swap."
