Hmm. Being realistic with a perfect pass, 93, ams35, and gutted you can probably go 10.2-10.3 on pump. But it would be pretty wacky to hit a 9.

Meh lightened chassis should not count. Full weight street cars FTW.

and how do you propose we classify full weight?

if a car has an aftermarket exhaust, lightweight brakes, 1/4 tank of gas, lighter wheels, etc etc.....

the 4 main things people do (front bumper beam, rear bumper beam, bar under rear seat and subframe) arent visible anyway.......so how would anyone tell?

Well you can accept the common things that most people do. My old car was a prime example. Juan's car is a good example even though he went the extra mile to reduce weight.....he is still with A/C and all interior etc.

Now an all out gutted RS weighing sub 2500 better haul tail....

That bar under the back seat, what purpose does it serve? That can come out with no issues?

It is a Carbon widebody... Allows me to fit my 26.5" tall tires, the stock body does not accommodate for this easily. It also lets me run a wider tire..

See above comment.. My car is still full interior etc.. Even has power windows, heat etc.. Last time on the scale it was 3200 or so.

Exactly.. full weight doesn't exist.. You add a coilovers and you loose 30+lbs.. does that mean its not full weight ? Does that mean its a race car?

Ac shouldnt matter... Some cars don't even come with AC.. but I agree with you, don't show up with some gutted race car and pawn it off as a street car.
Just FYI... Most actual 2.5RS's are heavy as hell.. a gutted L is different ball game.

so you will accept weight reduction to a point....as long as its not too much? juans car at 2800 lbs is ok, but jr's at 2500 would be too much?

my only problem with the whole thing is classifying anything.

the only thing that should matter is the turbo.....anything else goes....weight reduction, nos, rocket motors, wings......whatever the hell you want.

if weight reduction isnt allowed....then tranny swaps arent allowed....and slicks....and standalones.....etc etc etc. Get what im saying? once you start making a category for 1 thing...it just gets ridiculous.

I totally agree with you there is going to be a point of deminishing return and then det booom on 93 pumpgas,it will come to be a brg beat out due to excessive detonation on higher boost levels and once it happens your rod and brg are bye-bye.

So how do you think is going to weight?

If it weights 3000lbs+ is not happening

It should be classify as a "street car" not as a "full weight street car", you can add full interior to the mix if you want.

By street car I mean, no roll cage, no parachute, no slicks, only street/dot approved drag radial or street tires, no fuel cells, no lexan windows. If I have any of those it should be not consider that the car run on street trim, and if it has a cage, parachute, lexan windows, or fuel cell it should be consider a race car.

you get my point

Its going to be around 3k with me in it.
We will see, if I can trap 12X with my VF setup I can promise you I will run low 11.0-1 with it. I have done it with plenty of other cars.
Some of us can drive

Some of us need rollcages and chutes to be allowed to test our cars. Its not fair to say that its a race car if it needs a chute... Lexan and fuel cell sure I agree, but safety equipment should not count. Some of us also drive around on slicks...
I can already see the excuses when I take my car out

imo a records a record. run what ya brung.....

i only care when people try to categorize things.....IE pump gas. I have 100 octane pump gas here.....does that count? Then people are gonna say "no, cause its not available at the pump everywhere", then i say "neither is 93 or 94 octane"....

You can do the same thing for every category. "Street Legal" is not the same in every state or country.

One guy started a thread here a while ago asking for 91, 93 and e85 dyno numbers for a certain setup, but he wouldnt take meth injection numbers. It made no sense to me whatsoever but that was his logical definition of pump gas.

Run what ya brung....if you brang a td04 with nos...run the chit out of it.

E-town requires a roll cage for anything under 11.50et so, it's pretty hard to set 'street' records with that requirement - believe I know, I got yelled at for 15 minutes and then kicked out two weeks ago

How is Jaun's car 2800lbs? I ripped my car apart and it's ~2990 w/a half tank of gas.
