Is the STI Genome + aftermarket up pipe and downpipe sufficient for stage 2? Like everything should mate up pretty well and fill the requirements for a cobb stage 2 93oct map

yes, but to go beyond that you will want a full 3 inch exhaust, but for stage two it should be fine.
edit: probably wont need a new up for stage 2, , I believe the 04 has a cat in the up (but 04 owners feel free to correct me)you wont need a new one, but if it is cated you should get rid of the cat (search, there are many threads about how to do this) so it dosent end up breaking and eating your compressor wheel (turbo bits).

04 wrx does have the pre-cat in the up-pipe. Get an aftermarket up-pipe and downpipe. Flash stage2. Done.

Def the Genome. Yes and yes. please get rid of that catted up pipe and get something that is more free flowing and not such a hazard to your turbo. Do not get a pipe though that has no flex section in it, this will only cause issues for your flanges/studs and exhaust system.

That was a dealer/SPT option in the early WRX years. Not sure what year it stopped... Fairly expensive IIRC, well above $1000.

I sport the GrimmSpeed uppipe and love it. Well-priced, well-made, and the coating helps retain heat for spool as well as keep things a bit quieter from the front of the car.

They're also cool because Justin's last name is Grimm.
