Very awesome if it's true. Havn't been able to verify it at another source yet though...

No, it is nothing more then a spec-c ... whoever wrote this article had their head up their a55. They have been producing spec-c for years... every year I get the same ole email from prodrive asking if I want one.

29,000 euros buys you a NEW race prepped Spec-C from prodrive. Cage and all. N14 spec.

Haha wow I didnt know that. I knew about the Spec-C of course, but I didnt realize Prodrive sold them race ready like that. Has there been a new body style GroupN car before though? Thought they have been running the old 07s.

Yes... but last I checked they only take cash... and no bank is going to give you a loan for a race car.

so if you have 40k cash laying around... you can has dis

https://www.prodrive-sales.com/banne...onor%20car.pdf

You would need to have an account with prodrive... and when I say prodrive I mean ProdriveUK not Prodrive that sells wheels and street car ****.

Shall I call my team manager for you??

Its right hand drive? That is awesome. Would make it tough on an American driver though, at least at first

No thanks. I neither have the money nor do I live on that side of the pond. I was just curious if it was a typo. I figured you were talking about ProdriveUK.

All cars made at prodrive are LHD , there is an option for a RHD conversion.

I don't think that the roll cage is included in that price, I think that their prepped group N cars still cost >$100,000

That's not actually a group N car correct? Its an STi spec c with a cage. It looks like it is missing quite a bit of the Group N parts (homologated handbrake, 33mm restrictor). It looks more like what is used to make a Group N ca, Like these:
http://tommimakinen.com/rallycars.htm
when I priced out a Group N car prepped in Canada it was $80,000-120,000 and that the Chasis prep and cage alone would be $15,000. Needless to say I will be sticking with With our Open LIght RS for a while

Yes it is legal in GrpN.. but of course it does not come with all the GrpN options.. The chasis is prepped and a cage is installed...everything else is an option. Naturally the saftey gear is left to the buyer.. as everyone runs different stuff.

Insurance reasons and class rules. Nothing to do with the 2.0 being a better motor...because it is not close.

WRONG!!!- we have the 2.5 in america because of emissions and the spec c uses a twin scroll turbo which creates better torque out of the 2.0 >>>

You are high on crack. The usa has the 2.5 because it produces more torque and is more reliable then the 2.0.

And seem to have less troubles passing emissions. This is the same reason we here in europe also got the 2.5... in late 2005.

Japan will stay with the 2.0 because of insurance going by liter size and not power. Also the spec-c stayed 2.0 because GrpN does not allow for over 2.0...simple as that.

Care to argue which car makes more torque?... you go and buy a Spec-C and we can compare it to my 2.5TS Spec-C.
