Default Stage 2 Questions

I recently installed an Cobb DP and the Grimmspeed Uppipe. I re flashed and placed the map on to stage 2 93. I felt a difference but not as significant as I hoped. Is there really a time delay too acheiving full power? I only ask cause my friend has a 04/05 wrx and is running stage 2 for about 6 months now and his car pulls alot harder than mine. But on a better note I have reached the mark boost of 16.5, which leads me to think the accessport is working and the ecu has been tuned but wheres all the power?

Thanks in advance for the help.

the power is more linear...you will see more pull in 3rd gear, from what i hear. does your friend have an accessport stage 2 as well? or does he have another stage 2 map? cuz depending where u get the stage 2 map, there might small subtle differences.

yeah he has a COBB AP stage 2 map. His mod list is Greddy cat back, perrin dp, cold air intake. I have driven his car, let the RPM go to about 3-3500 and tap the gas.. the car feels like its ready to haul ass. Mine is getting there but not fully even or anything with him. I reset the ECU 3 days ago and i commute to school.... everyday i have driven it the car feels better and the turbo hits harder. Just never heard it on the forums that the STAGE 2 takes a little while for the car to full adjust and release its max potential.

no leaks i replaced all the gaskets, let the car run idle checked the dp catback connection and practically threw my head in the engine back to see if theres anythings dp to turbo i got nothing. I believe he hits 16ish? im not hundred percent sure cause he has a perrin bov and i have the stock recirculator.

So far this is day 3 for the relearning process and its starting to feel like a real subaru again. Just was trying to get info if anyone else felt disappointed reaching stage 2 intially.

Stage II was not as great over stage 1, however, installing a vf39 and supporting mods makes stage II feel teh weak. I cant imagine a built motor with a big turbo on a 2.5.

List other supporting mods vs your friends. Things like gear ratios and tire sizes can play a difference in the buttdyno. Additionally, it seems that the car responds better if you drive it more aggressively. It feels to learn that behavior though I think its mostly psychological.

My mod list
Cobb tbe
grim upipe
prodrive springs
rolling on stock 06 rims with Yokohama tires 225/40/17

my friends mod list
gredy ti exhaust
Perrin dp
perrin bov
perrin springs
cold air intake
rota torque 215/45/17

We both run stage two from a Cobb accesport. Stock turbo. Only diference is milage I'm pushing 130k and he's got about half. But stage 1 race back then I beat him. So it can't be the car for mileAge diference
