Well, cost of course varies with quantity, paper, colors etc. But I can give you a good ballpark. Letterpress printing is quite labor intensive, we do all colors one at a time, cranked by hand.

A typical, one-color business card will be about $200 for 150 or so. Quantity doesn't really increase the cost too much. Additional colors do however. the same quantity in 2 colors will be around $300. This also depends on if I am going to do the layout and such.

But a letterpress printed business card certainly makes an impression.

Watermark? ehh... kinda. I can do a blind print (impression with no ink) that would look pretty interesting and close to a watermark.

Not sure if you give a hoot or not, but it's in the vector of printing.

This is the Cadillac of wallpaper manufacturers using the wood block technique. Only used in super, super, super wealthy period homes as some of the "wallpaper" runs $500,000 for a one wall mural. Buddy of mine in Boston does them for the White House.

Thanks for that Sharky. I'm having an absolutely sh***y day at work, design wise.

That video makes me want to quit this job, buy a letterpress and do what Matt's doing.

You are feisty today.
Did Hans kick your ass? Or was it Becky?

PS: I still have no idea why Kaiser bumped this with a clam shucking video.

I'm just playin' with Matt A. It's always strange to find out what a single letter actually stands for when you've only seen it as a single letter for years.

EPS, AI, PDF are all fine. AI file is preferred. Everything needs to be 100% black.

and thanks for the compliment!
