Default AP V1 Power Adaptor?

Just got a used V1 AP (NASIOC Classifieds) which did not work when I pugged it in with the power adaptor. It came with a 12VDC 1000mA adaptor...which I think I have read on here is not the right one...correct? I believe it should be 5V and at least 600mV.

So has my "new to me" AP been fried? Is this my problem?

It was shown to be working before it was sent to me. I thought the box it came in smelled a little funny as it did again after I plugged in the adaptor. Possible too that Canada Customs plugged it in too when they opened the box on its way to me from the U.S. and it was fried before it got to me.

Thanks!

Default Adaptor

Thanks for posting the pics - Looks like I was sent the wrong adaptor and my AP is fried then. Nice.
