At the Track New Tdo4 Record! 2002 2.0 WRX 12.40 @ 109.67...Phatbotti Tuned

After having the fastest td04 on pump gas I figured it was time to step it up. I got together with sti mikey and he created a c16 map for me. He told me the map was not yet complete, but I just couldn't wait to drag race. haha . He said he can still get a little more out of the car. This is the third time I have gone since the tune, but this was the first time I could actually get some traction. There are still a few more parts in my garage waiting to go on, so it will be interesting to see what happens after everything else is done.

Damn! Very nice. I love seeing people push the stocker like that.

So just to clarify:
Fuel: C16
Any weight reduction: ?

It'd be cool to see an airboy of this car. Congrats again.

Congrats man! I'm really stoked to see somebody break the record that I know has been at it with the TD04 for a while! Great driving and nice tune from Mikey! Looking forward to you getting that last bit and seeing how fast it REALLY is. I always wanted to see what mine would have done with better gearing and a gate and this gives me a pretty good idea. Great work, congrats again.

Hey Dave,

I was in total awe dude. When James called me and told me he was going to the track, I literally told him not to bother. I didn't get to finish the tune three weeks ago. The car is running 3-4 less effective degrees of timing than I would like. The car is only running 29 degrees up top, the plan is to utilize 32-33 which always seems to be the sweet spot (granted a nice smooth ramping with aggressive ramping after 6k).

Anyways, he said he was gonna go just to practice hooking. And hooking he did!!

In all honesty, Im not sure if we can get to your godly 112.8 trap speed. But I do think 12.20 is completely possible at 110.5-111. Maybe if we can take some more weight out we can edge toward that 12.0 barrier!!

The trans is on our side strength-wise, but not having the ppg 3rd gear still has us shifting 4th.

We will get to see what this turbo is really capable of in the very near future

Next task is bottom 11's and 123+ mph traps on a vf!!!

EDIT: How is the 207 treating you Dave? I have a nice setup Im tuning tonight. Its a gc with a full JDM swap (207,vf37ts, trans, ect) He has a front mount and meth, and still on the stock map, hahha.

more like, huge turbo's should be netting the subi guys more 9's and low 10's and the fpgreen/sz55/dom3 guys should be hitting high 10's
