Default 2002 automatic RS-STi swap?

i have a 2002 RS that i managed to blow the motor in last week and rather than paying close to 4k for a rebuild how much more would i be looking at for a STi swap and how much work is involved if i do it myself? what parts should i start looking for??

The quick of it since I did the same thing you want to do is buy a wrecked STi, plus about another 3k in misc parts youll need and take about 100 man hours to do it carefully.

get sti/wrx donor car
switch over everything but chassis
drive away happy.


swapping GD>GD is about as easy as removing parts from two cars and putting them back in.
