Default So, I made a small trip to Gruppe-S...

So, I just happen to be in San Diego for a couple of weeks for work. This past Saturday, a few of us decided to take a trip up to Gruppe-S in Lake Forrest. We had already ordered a few parts from them, and I decided to pick up whatever parts that had already come in. I'm getting a short block from them, as well as the parts needed to assemble everything. I picked up my Cosworth headgaskets, Mishimoto radiator, ARP head studs, and a few other small things. While I was there, I was also looking for a new pair of fenders for my '08 STI (small incident). I was just going to get OEM replacements, but liked the idea of having some that were 10mm wider. They just happened to have Dez's old Seibon fenders, Seibon hood, and old bumper laying around (with an APR splitter and canards). Well, needless to say that Dez and Eddie gave me a pretty good deal on everything.

I can't wait to get my car back!!! It's going to be sweet!!!

Nahhh. I'm quite content with my current brake setup. All stickers are coming off.

I plan on it. I'm just not sure if my current budget is going to allow it. If not, its on the to do list.

My car is currently at the body shop. I had a small incident at the March 6/7 event @ PIR.

Fenders, no real weight savings. Only benefit is that they're 10mm wider. The hood, on the other hand, supposedly shaves off 23 lbs (22 lb hood, versus 45 lb stock).

Taylor: You mean, MY tires? Haha. j/k. Although, I may try and buy them off of you.

It's a big hood. And, 22 lbs is a lot less compared to 45...

Taylor: In my defense, I didn't lift IN turn one. I did my normal braking, let the car settle, then coasted through the transition. Same as I did the previous 300 laps around PIR...
