hybrid install

so i pulled the motor out of my car yesterday due to a broken connecting rod. Ive decided to take the route of a hybrid motor. i purchased an refurbished 07 sti block (by Subaru mechanic) and i plan to start the swapping later today. this is the fist time i have ever pulled a motor out of a car. i have read the threads time and time again, i have the OEM gasket set, and a torque wrench. dumb question but what is FSM and any advice at this point will help. thanks

FSM is Factory Service Manual.
And do you intend to use AVCS? Are you using cometic gaskets to help out the compression ratio?
If you don't know what your doing it could be a costly mistake... search for some threads here in the built motor section.

Fred Beans is cheaper gasket-set You will have to buy STI head gaskets as well.

How much did you buy the engine for?
Go to flatironstuning.com or call them talk to Jon Cooley he has some knowledge about this swap.
