Default TOYO RA-1 vs R888

Anyone running Toyo DOT Slicks?

What do you guys prefer? The RA-1 or R888? I've heard that the R888 are a great tire to start but they fall off quickly.. Just wanting some other peoples info...

You heard correctly, the 888's are great for the first several heat cycles and then they fall off pretty quickly. RA1's have slightly less grip when new but you can practically run them to the cords without a major dropoff in grip. Overall I prefer the RA1.

If the choice is RA-1 or 888 then RA-1 wins for me in rain/dry street/track.

I run Nitto NT-01s on my track car that i drive to and from the track rain or shine. My DD Subi is retired from the track so she gets the NT-05's which is also great for track if needed.
