Irvine Subaru Service Closes at 5PM?

I guess this question is for Ryan, but if anyone with some experience in this matter can answer, I'd appreciate it.

I just called Irvine Subaru because I need an oil change. I live quite far away, so I wanted to make sure that they could service my car today if I brought it down there by 5 pm. The web site says service closes @ 6 pm, so I figured that would be sufficient time to get the job done.
But some service guy told me that all the mechanics leave at 5 pm, so they wouldn't be able to service my car today. Is there an error on the web site, or did this guy blow me off, or do I not understand the concept of open 'till 6?

I wasn't trying to show up 5 minutes before the posted closing time and get my car worked on, so I'm confused about this.

If anyone can explain this to me, please let me know.

Service is open until 6pm, but our techs go home at 5pm. We're open beyond 5pm so that people can pick up cars and drop off cars for tomorrow. There isn't an error, the techs just dont work until 6pm.

Ah, I understand...it's somewhat confusing, but makes sense.

I will plan my oil change around this information, thanks.

perhaps this info added to the website would prevent others from making the same mistake? Just a thought...

It's always a good idea to call ahead, tho.
