That car is absolutely incredible. So much work has been put into every aspect of it. Very very impressive.

its obvious most of the emphasis on this build is on aero.. something most of the japanese cars have a huge emphasis on as well.

Heck, we could even have one of the numerous talented subie drivers pilot it. OK, now someone get back to winning the lotto so this can happen ![]() Last edited by Homemade WRX; 04-22-2010 at 03:11 PM. |

The closest team we have on this type of level in imo would be SRRT. Sure they mainly due a spec series but if they were given the opportunity to be in a series where the sky is the limit, I'm sure they would have a very capable car.
I myself am apart of a team that does pro races but we are no where near the top or mid pack as compared to these guys http://subaruroadracingteam.com/index.htm |

an interesting factoid about Sierra Sierra is that this is what happens when a Mazda Atlantic teams goes on break in the off season and decides to build an EVO. They also unofficially beat the HKS EVO time at buttonwillow.
Knowing HKS they will come back, try to smash the record at buttonwillow and hopefully this will attract more US Race teams to join in on the fun and prove US en-gin-earing is top notch. Tri-point has made a transition from World Challenge to RTA so hopefully more will follow. |

^ yup
I hate to say this tho.. but it will take more then most shops on this site to make a car as fast as that evo.. most shops on nasioc would argue about lack of travel or to many dive planes on the rear diffuser.. On another note i doubt hks will bring back their car.. since its been retired.. took us more then a few years to beat the hks car... and the hks car was on R compounds. but would be interesting how the cyber evo stacks up.. basically the superlap battle in australia will help gauge how we are against the japanese tuners now.. will be really interesting. |

I find it interesting that despite all the "aero", at the same event, the Sierra Sierra Evo was less than half a second quicker than the Crawford STi......

We gave the Sierra Sierra EVO a good fight and were the only Subaru in the top nine cars at the Super Lap Finals last year. I was thinking the same thing. Not taking anything away from Crawford but Sierra ran a 143.2 practice run and a 144.xx recorded TA run. As far as the posted times above from crawford, are these averages?
