the theory is that cool air comes through the front of the car and the vent in the top of the hood allows it to push the hotter ambient air out through the hood. while it certainly will escape hotter air, idk if it'll actually have a noticeable difference on operating temperatures.

Looks great. Although probably not noticeable, the car should be ever so slightly more aerodynamic now compared to before.

Back from the dead, but I got a quick question before buying this as well...I live in the great NW where it rains ALOT! So, if I have this "open" vent, won't rain ruin/damage what's under the hood??
