Thumbs up Replaced Oil Pickup Tube - 2006 STi, 54,000mi Stock

After having two mechanics cancel on me (I don't have a lift or any lifts), I paid the Subaru Dealer to replace the tube for me. I brought documentation and KillerB's Oil Pickup Tube. Labor was about $200.

Luckily there was no crack, but better safe than sorry, right!
I took some pics for you guys.

Stock 2006 STi, 54,000 Miles.
Last 1000 miles it's had a Catback + Stage 1 Tune.
Next month it goes TBE and Short Ram Intake + Stage 2.
Also going to switch to synthetic finally.

Anyway, pics of the tube that came out:

I feel better knowing its safe. I feel great knowing it wasn't cracked.
Even though you could be safe I still recommend getting it replaced.

That's great news! I don't think anyone likes thinking about the "what-ifs" when they pull out a cracked one. Now you NEVER have to think about it and you get the side benefit of less restriction since the Killer B piece has slightly larger ID an NO pinch bend like the OEM piece

I see them for sale used and it always makes me cringe. It's a $22 part that may, or may not, someday fail. When I change them I toss them right into the trash.

Trashed mine in March/Apr when I was home and now I won't have to worry about much other than blowing pistons when I get home in 3 months. Thanks for the awesome part!
