I have Vishnu fuel rails and my EGT probe is in the collector. Everyone else has theirs in the #3. I don't know which one is right, or more appropriate.

The location shouldn't matter as much with the parallel mod, but you should get it as close to the head as possible, since the gas has less time to cool. Granted it doesn't cool much by the time it's at the collector, but it could be 50 degrees for all you know.

I have mine about 1" from the head on cyl #3, running the stock fuel rails.
