@ USA winning.

Germany's looking hot. Netherlands are a force.

I'm hoping my Italians can pull it off.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say England. They've looked strong ever since Capello joined. With Rooney (if he's fit) up front they'll be hard to stop.

Germany would be my second pick. Brazil and Italy also look good. Spain has a chance, but it looks like Torres and Fabregas could be out.

Im going with Germany. Those pesky Germans. I dont really like Rooney's ankle right now, even though Ferg has been resting him, other wise I'd say England had a good shot.
Portugal looks good on paper at least, but I dont like Ronny.

I hope they don't, they played like cowards last time out and didn't deserve any of the success they got.

This will be Clint Dempsey's coming out party. Book it.

I'd like to say the Dutch or Spain, but they always fold like cheap bench tents when it counts. I too like ze Germans.

Tired argument is tired.

Gigi Buffon had five clean sheets and also kept a 453-minute scoreless streak during the 2006 World Cup finals.

Say what you will about players from whatever nation diving and playing like "cowards".. but you can't take anything away from a good keeper playing well.

(I think the only time I post in OT is in one of two soccer threads)

I'll be rooting until I'm blue in the face for the US, but my pick to win is Argentina. I know they struggled a bit during qualifying, but they have enough talent to win it all.

Sounds good. I'm thinking about throwing a little shindig for the Champion's League final next month. Brews, grilling, good weather, and hopefully Munich taking the title home.

My bet is on the Netherlands or Spain.

Will do. I'll probably be out of town the first weekend (USA v. ENG), but I'll be planted on the couch the rest of the month. All the matches of Group G cannot be missed (Brazil, Portugal, South Korea, and Ivory Coast!)

So they had a good keeper, their players dove like crazy, and then beat the **** out of other players while professing their innocence.

I will go ballistic if we beat England. If the EPL managers continue killing their players, we could be facing a really weakened English squad.

All depends on Messi and Tevez. He replicates his form for Barca, they're a definite favorite. If not, well Tevez has been great for Man City this year. Without those two though...I still can't believe Riquelme won't be there. What a shame.

It's awesome that they put the CL final game on a Saturday as opposed to Wednesday night (afternoon for us).

I'm going to watch PSG-Fire and Red Star-Legia Warsaw play in at Toyota Park right after the finals game, should be an awesome day.

As for WC, I think that Germany is too old, Brazil doesn't have any stars but they always seem to do good, Argentina is not that good.
Spain has a chance to take, but they might choke like they always do.

If Serbia can be first in their group then they have a chance of going all the way.
But I think it will be Netherlands and Spain in the finals.
