Talking turbo plans

After a lot of thought about different ideas, i've come to the conclusion that I'd like to build a low-pressure turbo system (4-6psi) built around a stock wrx turbo (td04) and a stock wrx ic. I would use a Link plus ecu as well. I have someone knowledgable in subaru tuning who can do all the exhuast piping and build me a great exhaust for for cheap. Also I will be getting my clutch replaced soon buy SOA! So i'll wait to turbo until after that. I'm hoping to get it finished by mid-August.

Any comments or input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan....

Don't bother with the stock clutch replacement. With 4.4 lbs of boost it slipped realy bad in fourth and fifth gears. It was worthless. If you go to all of the trouble to have it changed it just wont hold the torque of the 2.5 turboed motor. Get a better clutch. Otherwise, go for it. Get timing cotroll or you will break!

stock wrx turbo(TD04) the internal wastegate bleeds off at ~8psi. you will need a external wastegate to control at lower boost.

I know about the external wastegate. also i was thinking, does the wrx stock clutch fit our cars? because that obviously can handle the power so maybe i just have them put that in instead.

i use the exedy street clutch. it is basically the stock friction disc with a stronger pressure plate. it has a very stock feel but has enough holding power for ~350HP.

I had the clutchmaster stage III prior to my tranny exploding due to a loose screw. Retains pedal like feel while being about to hold about 350hp
