Question DSL users: what speeds do you get?

just wondering what connection speeds others in the area are seeing, and with which providers...

i connect at about 730 kbps with Earthlink...that's in an old apartment with crappy crappy crappy phone lines.

I have SNET DSL I get about 1.2 mb/s. I also live and 1000 feet from the central station here in Wolcott so that makes a big different. My parents have it at their office and they only get 344 kb/s. It really all depends on where you are vs. the DSL station. This is where I go to test my speeds.

I usually get 1.0 - 1.4 Mbps on W2K server with a few tweaks to my registry!

Cable: Adelphia

They finally have upgraded the network and I get anywhere from 1.4Mbps to 3.7Mbps (140KB - 350KB) depending on site, etc.

Damn, that's fast kpratte! Is that for upload and download too?

FYI, I just upgraded my switch and NIC and get about 1.7mbps download, and pretty close to that upload with my cable modem. This is win 2K. A friend with a mac and a wireless network at his home (bastard) gets over 2mbps...

That's download... And lately I've been getting a consistent full T1 all the time while downloading. Upload is rather slow, a whopping 128Kbps which works out to capping at 16KBps Ahh well, can't have everything, for the price $42 a month I can't beat it.

Oh, I'm using a Linksys 4port Switch/Router and 2K & XP on my network. All 100Mbit Full.
