Default Car shipping

Not sure if I posted this in the right forum. Anywho, I m getting ready to have my WRX shipped from Atlanta to Texas and I was just wondering if anyone has ever shipped their car and what kinds of experiances you've had. Are there companies to stay away from or some to look at. thanks

Nick

If you can, ship it by rail....not by truck

I think it be cheaper on every way to drive it, if you are going with the car and not bringing the car to you.

Even if its El Paso to Atlanta thats just under 1500 miles at 200 miles per tank ( witch is bad mpg ) thats like 7 tanks at like $3.25 gal is under $250. you could do it in a day with you and a friend or easily 2 days driving solo

Yeah, just drive it there. It would be a fun road trip.

I was interested in doing this when I was looking to buy my STi. I talked to a buddy about this since he and his brother had this done. He had his 2005 Evo 8 shipped from Indiana, and his brother had a 1997 Toyota Supra MkIV shipped from AZ. You can pay a little extra from some companies and have it shipped in an enclosed trailer, or it might be cheaper to have it shipped on a bed. He told me to check out this site, hope it helps you!

thanks for the replys. Sorry its taken so long but just got moved into my new place. Well between the plane ticket, gas, food, and hotel. Its really about the same price as some of the places I looked. Plus I d have to get time off of work. So it would be kinda crappy to just get here and try to get some time off. But I just wanted to say thank you for the advice and the website
