Thumbs down Sage Autosports Norfolk Is Not Subaru Friendly

AVOID GOING HERE. I used to work with the co-owner, Gary Hibner, and I thought that since i work with this guy who owns his own shop, hey, i might get a hooked up. BUT NO, ordered some off brand injectors supposedly from SlowBoy Racing. Went up to Mach V to get my car tuned couple weeks ago and was told from the Tuner at Mach V saying the injectors I received from Sage Autosport's is bad. Mach V could make it work but may cause fuel leakage due to not being a direct fit. Thankfully, they had some deatschwerks 750cc in stock. but anyway, came back to Norfolk, and talked to the guy over the phone to see if i could possibly get my money back for sending me wrong injectors. He then sent me to deal with his brother who is the other co-owner of the shop. i showed them my OEM injectors compared to the ones they gave me, gasket/bushing at head and design of head are off compared to OEM. I took these injectors to both Perry Subaru and All Aspects to see if they could tell me anything about them, they could not. They said it was not compatible with any subaru. so i finally went back to get my money back. I originally paid $448 for these off brand injectors that were hand delivered to me in nothing but a plastic bag that wasnt even taped shut. i had a bad feeling about these injectors from the start, i knew i shoulda taken it back and ordered from FastWRX, but ignored my gut instinct. so in the end they could only give me $350 and said the other $98 were for a restocking fee which is total BS if you ask me. keep your business with All Aspects and Perry Subaru.

so i say dont go to Sage Autosports. its located on the corner of Southgate Ave & Cleveland St in Va Beach.

-end of rant-

Are those the one's you were talking about at "The Pub"? Sorry to hear they didn't work but at least you got some $$ back and didn't get totally screwed with having to keep a set you couldn't use.

So you went and got an aftermarket brand of injectors which did not fit the vehicle and expected a full refund? As for the re-stocking fee, that is pretty common depending on the circumstance. Now they have a set of injectors that are open, that they now can not sell and possibly not send back. So in turn they refunded you your money minus the restocking fee?

Also, are those the injectors you ordered, or are they the ones you did not order and Sage happened to send you the wrong ones?

i think he asked the owner to order him a set of xxx cc injectors for a subaru and that's what he received. or perhaps sage auto already had these injectors laying around and told him that they got the injectors from slowboy?

did you not read the part where he received the injectors in a ziplock bag? the injectors were already out of their packaging to begin with...

Yes, it is unclear of what was asked to be ordered verse what he received.

No I did not see the second part in that paragraph so I must have missed that. If they came in a bag that was not the original package then he should fight it. Then again, I would not have bought something in a ziplock bag either.

agreed. i'm not sure if he asked sage to order a set of xxx cc top/side feed injectors or for a specific brand of injector. i too would've refused 'new' injectors that were handed to me in a plastic bag for $450.

Like I said I worked with the Guy who owns the place and I told him I need some 850cc top feed injectors. I purchase the set and they swore to me that they would fit. I worked with him for about 2 months (both of us navy). And I thought I could get a pretty sweet deal since I work with the Guy. All they told me that when I ordered it was that the injectors were top feed and they swore it would fit my car.
