Default Where to Buy New Tires

The Hoosier habit (new tires every 450 track miles) is a bit too expensive for me right now so I'm buying a set of Falken AZENIS Sport (RS) in 225/45ZR17 for my SSR Competitions (track wheels).

It seems like the following three places offer the most competitive pricing:

Vulcan Tire Sales
http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_t.htm
$106 each plus shipping (approx $14 each to my zip)

OnlineTires.com
http://www.onlinetires.com/falkentires.html
$109 each plus shipping (approx $13 each to my zip)

Discount Tire Direct
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/
$115 each with free shipping

Anybody know of a dealer (who has them in stock) selling them for less money?

I get mine direct, but Vulcan would be my recommendation. Their prices are usually the best for Falken. Only drawback to the Azenis is the availability. Most places only get their orders in in 6 week increments. Basically when the Falken Ship docks from Japan!

Good luck! I hope to get a good comparison analysis from you since you've run on all types of high perf. rubber.

Note that Discount Tire WILL price match anywhere... so you just have to bring the lowest price to them... I'll try to do a search (not on i-Club, but generally speaking) and see if they're lower somewhere else...

EDIT: Only lower I found was stopandgotires.com @ $104 per tire.

Goodfinder, a car like yours need some Toyos. I can get you a great price. Hopefully under 400 for all 4. Let me know. I'm only offering this good deal for you because I want to see your car in person. hehe.

Thanks for the comments and feedback.

I ended up buying the Falken AZENIS Sport (RS) in 225/45ZR17 for my SSR Competitions (track wheels) from Discount Tire Direct. Worked with Tom at extension 414. They should be here in a few days, and I'll be getting them onto the wheels this weekend (just in time for Father's Day). Now, to go burn up what's left of the Hoosiers that are on them at present!

heh, going from hoosiers to azenis, youll be like the first person ever to put on the Azenis and be slightly annoyed that they aren't quite as sticky as your previous tires

It should be interesting. Actually, on the SSR wheels, I'll be moving from the Autocross compound Hoosiers, which are even stickier than the Racing compound flavor! The first track I'll be running the Falken Azenis on will be at MotorSport Ranch in a few weeks, and then the full course at Texas Motor Speedway (infield plus outer oval) on July 6th. I'll have a fresh set of AP Racing rotors and Mintex brake pads up front, too. Should be fun.
