Default can i install 2.5L stuff into 2.5i??

for some of u might know me....but i will ask again since people from this forum wont bash threads

i was lookin at wiki for subaru ...it shows that :
1.5 L 107 hp
2.0 L 150 hp
2.5 L 170 hp (2.5i)
2.5 L Turbo-charged 224 hp

so i m thinkin if 2.5i = 2.5L ....which means K&N air intake for 2.5L can fits into 2.5i impreza...am i correct??? is it unless 2.5L TURBO...otherwise 2.5L is 2.5i ???

i went to search under 2010 => subaru impreza => 2.5L
can i use this one?? #69-8005TWR

nope. Locations of the intakes are different. Also, that won't do much for you anyway. Start reading around in the Normally-Aspirated Powertrain forum.

No, that will not work. That is for the 2008-2010 STI. The turbo cars have a different intake system than the non-turbo cars.

It does not look like K&N has a Typhoon intake for the 2010 Impreza 2.5i. They have drop in panel filters available for your car.

Completely different engines, so no it wouldn't fit. Intakes are really useless anyway, there's only a small handful of aftermarket intakes that are at all beneficial for the 2.5i.

Panel filters are a waste of money for what people look for in them.

Your stock paper one is fine.

And no, it won't make any more noise, it will just let more dirt in.

Not sure, I don't know much about the new 2.5i's.

That exhaust system looks loud, the muffler is small and there's no resonator.

How much is that system? A cheaper option is to buy a universal muffler that will fit that body and have a muffler shop make piping.
I don't think Magnaflow makes universal mufflers that shape.

There's always room.

Rally Sport Direct's STi has a can muffler. It barely fits though.

You can put that muffler on your car, you'll likely need a little more fabrication because of less room. The only way is getting that angled look.

I would concentrate on suspension modifications to make the car " feel " better because the N/A will never be fast.

Also Wikipedia is the worst website EVER to look for facts.
CALL / email a vendor that knows their stuff.

Im about to put magnaflows on my sedan whenever they come in. Ill post something up when I get it installed. Do you have the wagon or sedan?
Also for the intake, I believe you would have to do the hybrid intake setup, one of the stickies on the top of the N/A forum

I feel "power mods" in general for N/A cars are just a waste unless you plan on doing an all out build (cams, built heads, full exhaust, etc.)

Do you what you want though.

minorc is right, do suspension mods. Perhaps the only universal performance mod anyone can do.

Here is the deal, you're not going to go fast. If you're lucky, you can gain maybe up to 15 top end horse with an exhaust and some other random crap, but not much. Like someone else said, suspension should be first as it's the easiest to research. As for that exhaust... WTF? Do you have the sport wagon, or do you have the sedan? That will make a huge difference in the exhaust you can get.

If you want just sound and crap, just do it. Don't expect gains for a N/A car unless you pull the engine and rework pistons and such. Even then it comes down to a form of forced induction. 2.5L 4 cyl won't get much compared to boosted engines.

UEL HEADERS <====== THIS

Youtube UEL headers subaru.. You will get an awesome sound out of it.
if you just throw a big muffler on it its going to sound like ass, and then people will make fun of you.
