Default 5x100 Bearings with Steel Cage

Anyone know a manufacturer who makes the Subaru 5x100 wheel bearings with a STEEL or metal cage instead of the crap OEM plastic? I have some positive feedback on a anti-friction coating which allows the bearings to last much longer but the plastic cages melt

On that one you MIGHT be able to contact Koyo or NTN.

What are you going to do about the races? We've looked into the 5x100 bearing quite a bit, and material just isn't up to snuff as it stands.

We've looked into a nicer hone, and we've even been talking to Timken about their super ISF process to help out with that.

Well there's a place by me (Danbury, CT) that has a anti-friction coating and heat treating process. Jack from EFI had them done in his ST-2 car and went from replacing bearings every 3-5 events to running them for the last 2 years without replacement.

I figure it cant hurt to try it out, but I need to locate the correct style bearings. If I find anything I'll for sure post up.
