Correct me if I'm worng will a ap from a 07 wrx work on a 03?

It will not work. The 06-07 WRXs use the SUB-002 Cobb AP for the EJ255 versus the 02-03 and 04-05 WRXs use the SUB-001 Cobb AP for the EJ205.

Cobb lists the 02-03 AP V2 separate from the 04-05 APV2, so I would double check with them on the compatibility of a SUB-001 04-05 WRX AP being compatible with an 02-03 WRX. I am pretty positive the ECUs are different, so you need to find a specific SUB-001 AP for an 02-03 WRX.
