Subaru Stars head gasket question

so i was on craigslist looking for an outback and i stumbled upon a 97 outback and with 156,000 miles on it and the head gaskets have no been replaced. is it likely that they will need to be replaced or would this just be one of those outbacks that were fortunate enough to not need to have them replaced. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They're going to fail eventually so you might as well buy it with the intention of doing it, and replace them. I'll keep you up to date on the progress with doing mine.
