Default annoying gurgle from raditor

i just got back home from boston, which is about a 200 mile round trip. when i pulled in and got out of my car i noticed a gurgling noise from the drivers side of the radiator near the overflow tank and around the heater lines. i have an 06 wrx with 60k and the coolant has never been changed. the level is a bit low in the overflow tank but its always been like that. My temp gauge reads normal so its not overheating or anything.

obviously there is air in the line but im not really sure how it could have got in? Im going to top off that overflow tank and just monitor it for a few days. should i try bleeding the heater line?

any ideas?

If you top off the overflow tank, the system will fix itself. I just changed the coolant in my LGT and after filling the radiator, overfilled the overflow tank. First time out, you'll push fluid out and drip it, but who cares. Once the car cools, it'll suck coolant in from the tank. There are hot and cold lines on the tank. Make sure you're at least to the appropriate line. If not, add. Use distilled water so you don't just plate out the minerals that are in tap water onto your metal coolant system passages.
