My only updates is I VISITED it last night!!!! Soo Hot, the shortblock is complete and so are the heads. All that is left is waiting on my backordered set of A1 headstuds. Once I get those I should have the engine back in a few days. Another update is Moroso stepped up to make corrections to my oil pan and I got a killer deal on a accusump for the build as well.

I also got my gauges ordered, and went with the prosport EVO line. I am using ^^Brewpubs old carbon fiber center pod but it was made for 60mm gauges and these are 52mm. So I machined some alum collars to work and it turned out SCHWEET....

BTW Mike from PIA's engine was so bad ass that while we where driving home with it in the back of the car a soda can not anywhere near it ruptured for no reason? It split right down the center. CRAZY wierd.

Dom and I are hopeing to have it running before WCSS and his BBQ at MPS...

Huh, yesterday was a bad day. I have encountered some road blocks for my build AGAIN!!! All I can say is Dom and Craig at MPS are definately helping me out FAR more than I deserve. It must be that they just feel bad for me or something LOL. So until we get a chance to find all the problems (we know what they are I just need to see how the third party is going to handle the issue i.e. has nothing to do with MPS as they found the issue, thank god) I am not going into detail. But its in the air if we will be able to get it fixed and in the car and tuned before WCSS. So as of now until I hear more from the MPS guys I may or may not make it to WCSS with the car. So again I may be rollin the trailblazer SS down there .

I can tell you every hurdle I hit my friends always jump in and try to help me out and you all know who you are. I thank you as well!

Feeling really crappy about subie these days. No matter what I do I cant get this thing to work. I am on the edge of giving up and going back to domestics as they are not anywhere near as much of a pain in the ass.

I have made a huge amount of friends here but not sure how much more I can handle. I havent put tabs on this car in 3 years and still making payments on it. For as much money I have invested/lost I could be rolling in a pretty pimp corvette by now. At this point unless something starts to go in my favor I may be done with this project...

~Three Feet From Gold~

Uncle of R. U. Darby was caught by the "gold fever" in the gold-rush days, and went west to DIG AND GROW RICH. He had never heard that more gold has been mined from the brains of men than has ever been taken from the earth. He staked a claim and went to work with pick and shovel. The going was hard, but his lust for gold was definite.

After weeks of labor, he was rewarded by the discovery of the shining ore. He needed machinery to bring the ore to the surface. Quietly, he covered up the mine, retraced his footsteps to his home in Williamsburg, Maryland, told his relatives and a few neighbors of the "strike." They got together money for the needed machinery, had it shipped. The uncle and Darby went back to work the mine.

The first car of ore was mined, and shipped to a smelter. The returns proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado! A few more cars of that ore would clear the debts. Then would come the big killing in profits.

Down went the drills! Up went the hopes of Darby and Uncle! Then something happened! The vein of gold ore disappeared! They had come to the end of the rainbow, and the pot of gold was no longer there! They drilled on, desperately trying to pick up the vein again-all to no avail.

Finally, they decided to QUIT. They sold the machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars, and took the train back home. Some "junk" men are dumb, but not this one! He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners were not familiar with "fault lines." His calculations showed that the vein would be found JUST THREE FEET FROM WHERE THE DARBYS HAD STOPPED DRILLING! That is exactly where it was found!

The "Junk" man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine.

you guys are so nice to Chris!

I just tell him to stop being a bitch and man up. He came this far, it's time to finish it and enjoy the results. Take the many lessons learned and let them make you a better person and don't feel sorry for yourself. As one of the people that have slaved over this build and done many many favors to get it done, hearing this kind of talk can hurt my/our motivation as well. Nobody needs that.

Keep your head up n00b! It'll all be worth it soon.

He won't sell it.....He does this every time something doesn't go his way. Heck, I don't think his wife would let him! I am always telling him he would regret it...... I sold my STI to buy a house and not even 2 months of being a home owner, I am looking for a new subie. LOL

It isnt going anywhere, I was just frustated that with every turn that damn car has an issue. I have been building cars for almost 20 years most have been done by myself and by far I have NEVER encountered a more dificult platform. It not working on them thats difficult it is the fact every time I get close to having a plan something goes wrong.

I assure you it wont be sold, I have come way to far to have that happen. Just venting....

At least you'll look good bald. I'm just going to look like a hairless nerd. My tub is full of hair every morning. It's Falling out faster than I can grow it. Owning a business (and a few ex wives) speeds that **** up big time!

So I moved my fuel pumps and filter to under my swirl pot. Just didnt like the fact that I had em buried under the oil cooler on top of the engine. They are much better where they are now. But damnit I left my bandsaw at PIA and hand cutting all the steel pieces for welding sucks. I love my tools but it takes them to not be there or not work before I realize how much I am glad I have em'.

Getting pretty close, just waiting for the phone call to fake being sick and haul ass to MPS
