Default 09 WRX to STi tranny

Does anyone know the easiest way to do this? I would love to hear if anyone has done this yet.

why do you want the STI tranny? Just for the six speed?

^ it is much stronger and can handle a lot more power, you can put it into reverse without a bunch of problems. A little DCCD Pro conversion can go a longgggg way.

Screw having another gear, and shorter gears than the 5spd, get it because it is much stonger and can handle lots of power not to mention the r180 diff is great especially compared to the r160

As far as the swap goes, pretty much pull out the old tranny, and put in the new one, you should probably consider getting a lift though.

I would also reccomend dow a full swap brakes, and all, it's just easier and you get better wheel availability

I was asking this cause it's a new chassis and I didn't know if alot of changes have been made from old to new. I want the 6 speed for autox due to it being for versatile for the courses than the 5 speed, I do love the 5 speed for drag though. Oh and yes I would do the complete sway, I'm even considering the V7 STI swap.

there was a 09 that put a 04/05 sti tranny in and I guess it was near a direct swap, I'll see if I can find it again.....
